Alessandra De Paolantonio

"I believe that dance is communication from the soul, and an expression of ideas that transcends across cultures. In times of uncertainty, dance is a common language of hope and unity. Dance is a universal unspoken language that often expresses what words cannot. We can not stand still, because it is the movement of dance that could lead us toward the possibility of social change and a hope to unite humanity."

Alessandra grew up in Mendham, New Jersey and began her formal training at local dance studios, Ballet Forte and New Jersey Dance Theater Ensemble. Alessandra attended The University of North Carolina School of The Arts, under the direction of Susan Jaffe majoring in ballet during her senior year in high school. She received her BFA in ballet from the University of Utah in 2019, and worked with choreographers and professors such as Penny Saunders, Pablo Piantino, Lesley Telford, Matheew Neenan, and Gabrielle Lamb. Alessandra most recently trained at Hubbard Street Professional Training Program under the direction of Alexandra Wells from 2019 to 2020.
